What is M-M-R Ii Vaccine W/Diluent used for?
This vaccine is used to help prevent measles (also known as rubeola), mumps, and rubella (also known as German measles). These infections may cause serious problems (such as deafness, lung/brain problems, harm to an unborn baby). Vaccination is the best way to protect against these life-threatening infections. This vaccine contains live viruses that have been weakened. It works by increasing the body's natural defense (immunity) against the viruses. Vaccines may not fully protect everyone who receives them.
