What is Tecentriq Hybreza used for?

This combination medication is used to treat various cancers (such as liver/lung/skin cancer, alveolar soft part sarcoma - ASPS). It contains 2 medications: atezolizumab and hyaluronidase. Atezolizumab belongs to a class of drugs known as monoclonal antibodies. It works by helping your immune system fight the cancer. Hyaluronidase is used to help the body absorb atezolizumab, which helps it work better.

This medication is given by injection under the skin by a health care professional. It is injected slowly into the thigh over 7 minutes. It is given as directed by your doctor, usually once every 3 weeks.

Injection reactions may happen during the injection of this drug. Tell your doctor right away if you have any symptoms of injection reactions such as chills, itching, shortness of breath, flushing, dizziness, lightheadedness, fever, back/neck pain. Your doctor may give you other medications to help with these side effects or may slow down or stop your treatment for some time.
