Inside Rx Expands Program To More Than 60 Prescription Brand Medications

Inside Rx, a new venture launched in May by Express Scripts (NASDAQ: ESRX) that provides affordable access to patients paying full list price for prescription medications, is expanding the list of discounted medications available to include 18 new products – 63 in total -- effective today.
The latest additions include medications from GSK, Sun Pharmaceuticals and Trividia Health for acne, anti-inflammatory eye care, psoriasis, dermatitis, fungal infections, and also expand the discounted drug options for highly utilized therapy classes, like asthma, COPD and diabetes. Medications for diabetes and asthma are the most popular therapy classes filled via Inside Rx to date. Customers filling program diabetes medications via Inside Rx save an average of $176 per prescription.
Overall, Americans using Inside Rx are saving an average 40 percent per prescription on medications included in the program, resulting in an average dollar savings of $81 per prescription.
New Ways to Access Savings
New functionality on InsideRx.com allows customers to easily price their medication and find the closest participating pharmacy. For customers on the go, the Inside Rx savings card is now available for download into digital wallet for iPhone users, with plans to expand this capability to Android users this fall.

"The new medication and pharmacy search capability on our website allows customers to plan ahead, to help minimize surprises at the pharmacy counter."
Inside Rx also partners with GoodRx to connect patients with savings at the pharmacy. In addition to downloading a card from InsideRx.com or Goodrx.com, customers can now obtain the savings card at select participating pharmacies nationwide, see InsideRx.com for details.
