What is Varubi used for?

Rolapitant is used with other medications to help prevent delayed nausea and vomiting caused by cancer drug treatment (chemotherapy). It works by blocking one of the body's natural substances (substance P/neurokinin 1) that causes vomiting. This drug is not recommended for use in children younger than 2 years due to risk of serious side effects.

Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor, usually within 2 hours before you receive your chemotherapy. Do not take this medication more often than once every 2 weeks.

Tell your doctor if nausea or vomiting occurs.
