What is Turalio used for?
This medication is used to treat a certain type of tumor (tenosynovial giant cell tumor) that is not likely to improve with surgery. Pexidartinib belongs to a class of drugs known as kinase inhibitors. It works by slowing or stopping the growth of certain tumor cells.

Pexidartinib may rarely cause serious (possibly fatal) liver disease. Careful monitoring by your doctor may decrease your risk. Your doctor will check liver tests before you start taking this medication and regularly during treatment (usually every week for the first 8 weeks, then every 2 weeks for one month, then every 3 months). Based on your results, your doctor may check lab tests more often. Tell your doctor right away if you develop symptoms such as nausea/vomiting that doesn't stop, loss of appetite, stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine.
