Rabies Vaccine (Pcec)/Pf

What is Rabavert used for?

This vaccine is used to help prevent rabies in people who are at a higher risk of exposure to the virus (such as veterinarians, lab workers who handle the virus). It may also be used along with other treatments by people to prevent getting the infection after being exposed to the virus (for example, from being wounded by an infected animal). This vaccine works by increasing the body's natural defense (immunity) against the virus. Vaccines may not fully protect everyone who receives them.
