What is Palsonify used for?
Paltusotine is used to treat a certain condition (acromegaly) that occurs when the body makes too much of a certain natural substance called growth hormone. Treating acromegaly helps reduce the risk of serious problems such as diabetes and heart disease. Paltusotine works by decreasing how much growth hormone your body makes.

Read the Patient Information Leaflet if available from your pharmacist before you start taking paltusotine and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
Take this medication by mouth with water on an empty stomach at least 6 hours after a meal (for example, after not eating overnight) and at least 1 hour before the next meal as directed by your doctor, usually once a day.
The dosage is based on your medical condition, response to treatment, lab tests, and other medications you may be taking. Be sure to tell your doctor and pharmacist about all the products you use (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).
To reduce your risk of side effects, your doctor may direct you to start this medication at a low dose and gradually increase your dose. Follow your doctor's instructions carefully.
Use this medication regularly to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same time each day.
Do not increase your dose or use this drug more often or for longer than prescribed. Your condition will not improve any faster, and your risk of side effects will increase.
Tell your doctor if your condition does not get better or if it gets worse.
