Brexafemme
Ibrexafungerp Citrate
What is Brexafemme used for?
This medication is used to treat or prevent vaginal yeast infections. Some yeast normally live inside the body and on skin without causing any problems. However, sometimes the yeast can multiply and cause an infection under certain conditions (such as being pregnant, having diabetes, or taking antibiotics or hormonal birth control). This medication belongs to a class of medications known as antifungal drugs. It works by stopping the growth of fungi (such as yeast). Treatment with this medication can decrease symptoms of vaginal yeast infection such as abnormal vaginal discharge or itching/soreness, pain during sexual intercourse, or pain when urinating.
