Maraviroc is an antiviral medicine that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from multiplying in your body. Maraviroc is used with other medications to treat CCR5-tropic HIV type 1, a virus that can cause acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Maraviroc is for use in adults and children who weigh at least 4.4 pounds (2 kilograms). Maraviroc may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
