Paroxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. Paroxetine is used to treat depression, including major depressive disorder. Paroxtine is also used to treat panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).
